ReplyDeleteCongrats Brittany! Love that you used Twiggy, definitely an original idea for a preview issue. I hope you get to explain how you made the background in critique, looks like a cool technique that would be useful for us to learn. Can't wait to see it in print on Thursday!

ReplyDeleteI know there was some confusion about my background image. First, I never intended for Twiggy to be on the cover. It was my understanding that we were doing a mock-up and what I wanted to convey was that if the cover was chosen, I'd want an image of a girl similar to the mod-look of Twiggy.
The other image with the pixels was a simple twirl that I manipulated in Photoshop. I just found the image on google (the horror, the horror) and was trying to re-create it on my own in Illustrator. I didn't have much luck so I went with it in hopes that I would find a way to redo it before publication. Theresa helped me and you can see the new psychedelic image on the post. Thank you!
